L.A. LEGGERS Zero to 5K participants at the LA BIG 5K.

 

Are you new to running or walking? Or has it been a long time since your last race?

The L.A. LEGGERS has a training program especially for you. It’s called Zero to 5K, and it’s designed to get you up off the couch and completing a 5K race (3.1 miles).

When it takes place

  • Our current sold-out session: January 10, 2015 – March 7, 2015 (LA Marathon Big 5K)
    Saturday mornings: 7:30 am – 9:15 am
  • Our next Zero to 5K program will probably take place in spring/summer 2015. Details to be determined.

Who will teach you

Experienced L.A. LEGGERS members with coaching certifications

What you’ll get

  • Lectures on various running and walking topics
  • Dynamic warm up and stretching
  • Timed walk or run
  • Cool-down stretching
  • Detailed week-by-week training schedule

Why it’s worth it

Bragging rights! You’ll be prepared to run or walk a 5K race.

Cost: $25!

The $25 fee is for the Leggers training program only. It does not include the registration fee for the 5K race itself, which you must register and pay for separately on the race organizer’s site. Also, the Slouch to 5K is a separate training program with a separate fee than the regular L.A. LEGGERS marathon and half-marathon training program. The $25 fee applies even if you previously signed up for the L.A. LEGGERS regular training program.
